For most of us, sitting down and making a meal plan for the week can be very stressful. If meal planning is new to you I encourage you to KEEP IT SIMPLE! Try not to overcomplicate it. If you aren't used to meal planning or cooking, don't try to come up with extravagant meals. Here is a sample of a weekly meal plan.

Before I took the time to meal plan, I was so stressed at night when it was time to make dinner. I would go through the fridge and cabinets and try to throw something together. Most of the time it wasn't nutrient packed food and I was eating just to check it off my list. Now, with a little planning, I'm able to put really good meals on the table during the week.
I know what you might be thinking, "I don't have time to cook these type of meals." Nothing that I cook for my family takes longer than 30 minutes. Most of the time I have my daughter attached to my hip and my son nearby asking me to do something with him. There is no way I could spend an hour or more cooking each night. Remember, it doesn't have to take hours in the kitchen to be able to eat well!
Another great resource that I want to mention is our FASTer Way to Fat Loss meal plan. When you register for a 6 week round with me or join VIP, you receive a full meal plan + a grocery list each week. I don't follow this exactly but I love having it as a resource. The meals are amazing. Each one is gluten and dairy free. You can add items or take ingredients out of each recipe to fill your need.
I get positive feedback from my clients. This plan takes the guessing out of your week and makes grocery shopping 100x easier! You also receive snack and kid friendly snack ideas each week with the meal plan. If you are interested in learning more, check out my "WORK WITH ME" page on my website!
Again, if I can remind you of one thing when it comes to meal planning it's to KEEP IT SIMPLE! As you begin to cook and learn more recipes you will become more confident in the kitchen and grow to love that time. Yes, I said LOVE THAT TIME. For me, even with young kids, I love being able to put nutrient packed meals on the table. It might take a little more planning on the front end but I know you won't regret it! I can't wait to see what you make next! Happy cooking!
