You probably know someone making juice smoothies each morning due to their current diet fixation. That happens and honestly they aren’t doing anything “wrong”, they probably just fall into the societal pressures of dieting. If I could tell you and them something it would be, “ditch the diets!”.
Diet culture is harmful!
With a new diet at every look, you can probably understand what I mean. I was thinking about this recently… how fast diet trends come and go. You think you’ve found what will finally work for you and your goal to lose weight and before you know it you’re hearing about something different that’s supposed to work BETTER.
Friend, the truth is, weight loss takes exercise and proper nutrition. I know that’s not what you’ve been taught or wanted to hear because it’s not quick & easy. It’s showing up day in and day out even when you don’t have the motivation.
I get it – you only have 30 mins before you have to leave for your son’s soccer practice and you don’t have enough extra time to plan your dinner.
I get it – you’re tired after a long day of work and don’t feel like getting that workout in because you have dishes to do.
Hate to break it to you but every shortcut you take is making it harder for you. Remember, it’s not all about the way you look. For me, it’s actually more about the way I FEEL.
Taking care of my body daily with proper nutrition and exercise makes me more energized, more productive, and all around in a better mood. Feeling good can make all the difference in your day.
The longer you put off your health – the harder it will be to start.
