The Power Of Simple Health Habits Christiane Schroeter

Simple health habits, we all want them! Whenever I am talking to someone about building these habits I always tell them to make them simple. Life is already complicated and we have so much going on, so why not make our health habits as simple as we can!

I feel like a lot of the time we try to complicate this area of our life. We think we have to bounce from one thing to another, usually including a new trend like waking up at 4:30am. But at the end of the day, your health habits can be simple and sustainable. 

In talking with Christiane, a Wellness and Business Coach with over 20 years of experience, I realized how many of us want to help women transform their busy lives into success stories. 

We talked about 3 main things to help women just like you see and understand the power of simple health habits.

Habit stacking

Habit stacking is a powerful tool that can make it easier for women to introduce small, positive changes into their daily routines. This looks like “stacking” a new habit onto an existing habit, using the momentum of your current routine to build new behaviors without becoming overwhelmed. This is super helpful if you like parts of your routine, but would like to add something new in. 

For example, if you have a morning routine of waking up at 6:30 and heading for the kitchen to make kids lunches, you could add drinking a glass of water to that. By adding this new habit to something you are already doing, it becomes easier to remember and implement consistently. 

This will be especially helpful for women and moms juggling a lot of responsibilities because it allows you to gradually make meaningful changes into your life. You’ll build momentum and this change will feel achievable.

A morning routine

This is something I talk A LOT about. I have seen how incredibly helpful and powerful this can be in my life and so many of the clients I work with and the women I talk to. 

A solid morning routine can set the tone for your entire day. But remember, morning routines aren’t a one-size-fits-all. Life changes & seasons of life will require adjustments to your morning routine and that’s ok! The key is flexibility. 

Adjusting your morning routine based on your current season allows you to honor where you are right now. The important thing is that your morning routine continues to support your energy, focus, and well-being even if that looks different in each season of life. 

By staying adaptable, you’re able to create a routine that fuels you, rather than overwhelms you, no matter what life throws your way.

Accountability

Accountability can be a game-changer for moms trying to implement simple habits for positive change. When life gets busy personal goals like getting a walk in, meal planning, and drinking more water seem to go out the window. Having someone to check in with, whether it’s a friend, coach, or group online, can help you stay focused on pursuing your health habits. 

Knowing someone else is cheering you on helps you stay committed even when things get hectic. It’s also a great reminder that you’re not alone on this journey!

What it really comes down to is this – there is SO much power in simple health habits. You don’t have to complicate it. Making it simple is exactly what your habits need right now!
