It’s the season of gratitude!
When I think of someone who encourages women to live their life from a place of gratitude no matter what season they are in, Andrea is one of the first people that comes to my mind. Andrea has become a dear friend of mine and in so many ways a mentor.
Andrea is an “on the go” kind of girl who loves Jesus. She is a Bible teacher whose life calling is to teach women to know the truth, live the truth, and share the truth. She is the founder of Andrea Lennon Ministry and lives in Arkansas with her 2 two sons & husband.
Being in the season of gratitude it was only fitting to have Andrea as a guest to answer some questions about gratitude to help me and you enjoy this season.
What does gratitude mean?
Andrea’s answer to this was perfection! She said gratitude means daily being thankful and present in the journey God has for me. To me, gratitude is a mindset that helps me enjoy and embrace my life.
What does the Bible say about gratitude?
There are so many great areas of the Bible that talk about gratitude. It’s obvious that it’s something the Lord wants us to feel and express. 1 Thess 5:16-18 is the verse that speaks loudly about gratitude. To Andrea, the Bible tells us to rejoice each day, pray each day, and enjoy a sweet relationship with God as we follow His plan for our lives.
What can gratitude look like this time of year?
I loved Andrea’s answer to this question! She said that it can look like being present with your people and your opportunities but it can also look like trying to be a blessing to others instead of always expecting others to bless us.
Finally, I wanted to know what she would tell someone who is struggling to find gratitude in their life right now.
She said, Look fo rthings to be thankful for. Say them out loud! Share them with a friend! Post about them on social media! The things we nurture in life are the things that will grow.
With Andrea’s answers to these questions I’m reminded how important gratitude is not only for me but for my children.
