Ready to get to know us more!? Nathan joined me today to answer some questions asked by you! Some questions are more fun and others are a little more serious but we’re to do a good mix of both.
What are your pet peeves about each other?
Nathan guessed that my pet peeves about him were him leaving his clothes on the ground, YouTube wormholes, and UFC late nights. His pet peeves about me are that I run the sink while brushing my teeth and I leave the door open.
What does it look like for Nathan to support me in business?
Nathan said he loves it when I dream and hear my passion for what I’m doing. He wants to figure out a way to say yes, even if it means sacrificing. He likes that I follow through and do what I set out to do and will always bet on me.
How did you know adoption was something you wanted to pursue as a family?
If you didn’t know already, we adopted our sweet Zoe. Nathan and I served at refugee centers growing up and had the opportunity to sit down with a lot of folks who didn’t look like him. From an early age, he knew he wanted his table to look more like heaven with diversity. Spending time in South Africa and the children there is when we knew we needed to adopt and we are so glad we did!
What is your favorite thing about being a Dad and Mom?
Nathan said that watching his kids do things they love and have each other supporting them. Rhett and Zoe are so busy with activities and watching them is our favorite. Another favorite thing for me is being able to provide a safe place for my kids.
What is it like living with someone who hates your college sports team?
In our household, we don’t agree on college football teams which can be quite a heated discussion in our house. While I am indifferent to his favorite team (Kentucky), he absolutely hates my favorite team (Tennessee). Nathan would say that this is the most unnecessary angst we have in our house. It becomes tenuous for sure.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know us a little more. It has been so fun to share different parts of our lives that you may not have known before.
