The power of mindset is incredibly strong. In fact, it’s such a strong pulling force on your decisions that you probably have talked yourself in or out of something simply by what you told yourself.
My mindset transformation started long ago but I didn’t know it at the time.
It started back in my high school and college days. In those days, I told myself lies, some of them are hard to say today because I feel terrible I told it to myself. What I didn’t know at the time was all the damage I was doing to my mindset.
It didn’t click to me what I was doing until I had my children. I know for a lot of us, having children changes us so much, in the best ways. This was no exception. I knew that I had to make a change and work towards a more positive mindset.
This became something that I’m extremely passionate about because I know that a healthy lifestyle starts from the inside. If I wasn’t healthy on the inside, in my mind, I couldn’t be healthy on the outside. So I started changing the way I talked to myself. MAN, this was so hard. I didn’t realize how far deep I had become in the negative mindset.
If this sounds like you, stuck so deep in a negative mindset, I want you to know that there is hope for you. You can make a change!
Here’s where I want you to start, ask yourself these 3 questions:
- How would I rate my overall mindset?
- What are some of the negative thought patterns you have?
- What are 3 truths I can speak over myself this week?
When you take a look from the outside and are honest with yourself about your mindset you will find that there is tons of room for improvement. All it takes is a little self reflection to see where you are currently and where you want to be.
There will be highs and lows in your mindset journey, and that’s to be expected. But one thing is for certain, a positive & healthy mindset will elevate your life in so many ways!
