Doing everything “right” and still not losing weight?
It can be super frustrating! You’ve spent all this time and energy to make changes in your life but you still aren’t seeing the results you’d hope so badly for.
This can happen and while it’s frustrating, it’s part of the process. Checking in on yourself about why this could be is a great way to analyze your current progress and where you want to be.
Here are 3 things to check when you’re doing “everything right” in your weight loss journey but not losing weight
- Mindset – start by asking yourself these few questions:
- What does my mindset look like?
- Am I being positive about the changes I’m making or am I being negative?
Remember: Negativity truly impacts your results… in a not good way! Checking in with your mindset can make a difference in the results you’re seeing.
- Sleep – think about these couple things:
- How much sleep are you getting?
- What’s the quality?
Getting enough sleep is crucial for seeing results in your weight loss journey. Without adequate sleep, your body doesn’t have the recovery time it needs to put you at your best. This is often not thought about as a concern but should definitely be looked into.
- Stress level
- Where are your stress levels?
- Have you been overly stressed the last couple weeks? If so, this could be to blame!
Stress releases cortisol which holds onto weight so definitely watch your stress levels. If you’re struggling with added stress, try some stress relieving techniques to help you lower those levels.
Results aren’t linear… Everyone’s journey looks different and that’s ok. These checks are a great part of the journey, they are a learning experience, and are most definitely stepping stones to your ultimate goal. Just know that your journey can lead to successful weight loss! Keep going!
